INFECTION CONTROL

Dr. Jeffrey Arnold has always cared about your health and safety and has worked hard to prevent the spread of infection. Even before you enter the examining room, all surfaces, such as the dental chair, dental light, drawers and countertops have been cleaned and disinfected. Some equipment is covered with protective covers, replaced after each patient.

Non-disposable items, like dental tools are cleaned and sterilized between patients. The Dentist (Dr. Arnold) and staff (Maria) involved in patient care use appropriate protective equipment, such as gloves, masks, gowns and eyewear. In between each patient, the dentist and dental assistant wash their hands and put on a new pair of gloves.

Your well-being is of the upmost importance to your dentist and dental staff. That’s why infection control procedures are always in place in our offices.

WHAT ABOUT THE CORONAVIRUS?

Of course, it’s understandable to be concerned about the new coronavirus that causes COVID-19. Please know that the strict precautions Dr. Arnold and staff already takes every day to prevent the spread of infection also helps prevent the spread of COVID-19. If you are healthy, there’s no need to cancel your scheduled dental appointment.

However, as recommended: if you are ill with flu-like symptoms, please reschedule your appointment. If you or someone with whom you are in close contact may have been exposed to this virus, please wait 14 days to see Dr. Arnold.

We’re sure you’ve heard the message about keeping clean, as we have. We hope you stay healthy, we care about you. If you need further information, visit the CDC’s website for the latest information on COVID-19.
